Dekavio Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Summary

Dekavio is designed so that your CV stays on your device. There are no user accounts, and the details you type into the builder are stored locally in your browser rather than on a Dekavio account.

Information you enter

The CV builder asks for details such as your name, contact information, work history, education, skills and an optional photo. This content is saved using your browser's local storage and IndexedDB so you can return to it later. It is used only to render and export your CV on your device.

Storage and deletion

  • Your data lives in your browser profile on the device you use.
  • You can delete a CV from the My CVs page, or remove all data by clearing site data in your browser settings.
  • Because nothing is stored in an account, we cannot recover CVs that you have deleted or whose browser data was cleared.

PDF export

PDFs are generated in your browser using the print function. The exported file is created locally and is not uploaded by the app.

Cookies and analytics

The app uses browser storage for your CV drafts and your theme preference (light or dark). If analytics, advertising or other third-party services are added to this site in the future, this policy should be updated to describe them before they go live.

Your responsibility

Avoid entering information you do not want stored on a shared or public computer. On shared devices, delete your CVs and clear site data when you finish.
